High performance updates are necessary if you have modified your engine to produce more torque and horsepower. Your transmission is not designed to take any more torque than that of the engine your vehicle was manufactured with. Adding an engine tuner without modifying the transmission is just asking for trouble. Eventually something is going to break and it's gonna leave you stranded!
